Doyle, I'm still trying to decide since I'm hitting the dez on Sunday but they weren't planning on Palomar but would be realy easy to catch them at the 371/74 Paradise Corner as they pass though. You'd just want to be ahead of them on Ortega since that would be a bit longer route based on twisties vs. open area. I'll commit before 8am tomorrow or tonight after I take the bike out a bit tonight. I live in Temecula about 3 miles from 79/S16 which is a nice cut off to drop in at Pala Casino. We'll talk, let me know if seriouslyt game...I was already thiking about cutting out early as they come back up 74 and hit 371 home to prep for dez.

Correct Dave.
I'm not planning a stop at the corner of Hwy 371 and 74, but I will toot my horn as we near, which should be no sooner than 10:50am.

Good rides, wherever you go,

All the areas we are going through on weather.com show 10% chance before 8am, then clear and sunny after. Should be a nice day!

Working through the night to get my bike back up and running.  If I'm not at Main & MacArthur by KSU, good chance I won't be there.  :(

Doyle, Sorry for the late response, I'll give you a shout in the AM around 7/7:30 or call me anytime after 7 at 949-300-6706. Palomar was looking pretty moist this evening so might not want to hit that area until it dries up a bit. 10-10:30 might be a better time slot but that would put you behind Jerome if you were going to try to catch him.

I'm still on the fence about which route I want to hit, told the wife I wouldn't be out all day since I'm riding off road Sunday, have to do some testing on my KTM.

I'm going to play it all by ear right now and see what the sun brings up in the AM. If it still looks really moist towards San Diego I may just stay away from Palomar tomorrow and catch Jerome and the guys in Elsinore do the ride down to Palm Desert but on way back take the 74/371/79 home and bone out on the rest the day.

I'll post my intentions once I see the sun, just playing is safe right now. I risk enough in the dirt  :26:

10% is not that much of a risk for Jerome's route...

Thanks Jerome for tooting the horn, nice warning but not really needed. I know the route very well and know your bike. I'll be on the same bumble bee I rode for the 6 states ride. Hopefully I will see you guys. Off to bed now...

Looks like a fun ride.  I've done this route before and it is a beautiful ride.  I'm not sure how much longer my tires are going to last so I'm gonna have to wait til next time.  Ride safe.

Withdrawing due to decent drizzle here in Anaheim. (and yes...I'm definitely a fair weather rider)  I know it'll be clearer past elsinore, but still.  Ride safe - catch you next time.

There may some local drizzles this morning along the coast, but not enough to show on the radar at the moment and the forecast for the rest of the day is 10% or less chance of rain, so that's good enough. Nice max temperature forecasted in the Hemet area (not too hot)

It is ON.

Well guys what's the verdict? How is it looking OC way?

Sitting here in my home office looking towards SD/Palomar...Looks a little soupy that way...A later start will make for a great day on Palomar as it burns off but I would expect Palomar and the mountains to be a bit moist for a while this AM. I'm thinking I'll stay away from Palomar today or rather this morning.

If Jerome and crew are up for the ride I think I can meet in Elsinore stop and run Pines to Palms with you guys...Going out should be OK and coming back will be AWESOME!! Should all be burned off nicey by then. I'm not going to do the full route and head over to 243 (love those turns but have things to do this afternoon). So I'll bone out on way back taking 74/371/79, if anyone interested in that route or using that to short cut back over to 76 to hit Palomar I can point you in the right direction if you have never been the back way.

Watching for post updates...Just saw Jerome post!! I'm in for part as mentioned above...Look for me at the Elsinore stop (76/Grape, Yellow R1, BLK Joe Rocket leathers).
