Yup , basically Honda told me to pound sand. So I did some research and the oil is what I came up with. Seems to be working. Im on my second oil change and all is well.

Crikey!

There's enough info in this thread about the 2008 CBR 1000 to write a book.  All you have to do is scroll through the CBR 1000 oil consumption threads and evaluate the information.  I don't think there is much more you can add to it that hasn't already been addressed.
