the 2001-2002 (and '03 I think...) had the split seat which I found to be better looking. Just my .02
I saw that....01-03 had split seats that look more modern. The 04 looks like a banana seat of my vfr lol

The problem wasn't with adjustment, as the stock unit was auto tensioning, the irritating thing was when it became noisy at mid RPMs and sounded like the engine was going to fail. It never did, but many owners were irritated by it. APE racing makes a great unit that you check monthly and fixes the problem. I had one, it was fantastic.

I never noticed the noise until I got my R6. I started my F4i last week and thought to myself, "wtf is that sound?!??" lol. It was my first bike and I always thought the sound was normal. I think it'll be a $50-60 well spent if I ever do replace it before I sell it. From what I've read there's no reports of it causing problems except for the buzzing noise at mid rpm.

After fixing the dead battery problem, I'm going to sell my bike if you still want a Honda. I'm going to make an official thread after finals. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
