SUNDAY 6/10 PALOMAR MNT ride

MEETING LOCATION: mobile gas station off hwy 79 (44520 Bedford Court
Temecula‎ CA‎ 92592
United States)

Time: 9:45am depart mobile 10:00am

Ride pace: intermediate-advanced.
Palomar isnt for a new rider, if your not familiar with the road please be safe and take it really easy until you are familiar.

Let's have a fun and safe ride! My group will be staying at palomar and going up and down the mountain, if others want to head down east grade and out towards Julian or wherever your hearts desire have a blast.

I was there this past weekend. The roads are very nice. I was surprised at how little traffic there was too.

I'd sign up for this one but I have plans already. Have fun though!

i've always wanted to ride palomar but it's so damn far from where I am. one day i will make it. have a fun and safe ride!

I'm heading up there too. Hitting Ortega first then Pally, I'll stop if I'm in Temecula around 9:45 otherwise I will keep an eye out for you on the hill ;-)

Did anyone find out why it got shut-down by CHP.

Probably too many crashes.

The first Sunday in May where it warmed up over 50+ bikes were on the mountain. There were 3 crashes in the span of 2 hours. Cops, fire trucks, ambulances came and shut everything down. Warm weather brings out the noobs.

There was only one crash that I saw, but chp were pulling people over for random shi...stuff. It was still fun for me, even though I was only doing 50 the whole time.

Thanks r6me for for riding up there with us. Always nice to have company. Like you said too bad chp ruined it. I think I'm going to stick to going up there on the weekdays.
