Need help picking up a bike
« on: 09/24/12 11:19PM »
Hello everyone,

I need help picking up a bike that I'm buying. I need to get it from Van Nuys to my place in Santa Ana. Does anyone have a truck that can help me?

Picking the bike up either this Tuesday or Wednesday at 6PM. If you can help please PM me.

Thanks guys.

Thanks. I'll do a Skillzday as soon as I'm done with the paper work for the bike. I'm picking up a Daytona.

It's not the R. Just a regular 675. The R is too rich for my blood now. If you can help me pick it up I'll pay you for gas.

its easier if you hitch a ride there and ride the bike back to your place... and lot safer...sometimes, loading bike and transporting bike sometimes doesn't go as planned...

just a suggestion....

It's very true, unless if you have never ridden before.  Quick question, did you inspect the bike, before saying yes?

No I haven't inspected it yet. I was hoping to find someone who lives in Van Nuys and has a truck. But I'm 95% sure I'll buy the bike. Unless there's some major thing the seller managed to hide from the pictures and our conversation on the phone.

I could borrow my friends truck. I get to nervous loading bikes, Since i had mine tip over before. I rather ride it back home. Do you have your m1? or permit?

I got my M1 two years ago. The only thing is that if I ride the bike back I can't find someone who can drive my car back. That's why I'm looking for someone with a truck. I can help you load the bike.

If you can find a ramp ill drive my truck. Gas is expensive so I can drive you over there in my car if you want to ride it back.
no more stoppies for me.

You may want to this on a Saturday or Sunday, Van Nuys to Santa Ana 6 pm weekday, in a car about 21/2 hours.

Because if I ride it back home there's no one to drive my car back.

Here's the best option for picking up the bike on a weeknight in LA: http://www.amtrak.com/pacific-surfliner-train  Just have the seller pick you up at the Van Nuys station.  You can thank me later...  :D

You don't have a friend or neighbor that can give you a ride out there and you just ride the bike home?
