The dirt bike thread!
« on: 03/09/14 05:01PM »
Being this is mostly a sport bike forum I figure we can keep the dirt stuff on one thread (Not a rule just a suggestion ;)), Rides builds and camping trips can all be posted here!
Today Tj and I went to Comp Edge to break in his new bike. We rolled in first thing so we could ride the fresh loam and break the motor in proper, Beautiful day with an uncrowded track so he was able to take easy laps and run thru the gears stopping to cool every three laps. I was able to ride for $10 as there was race on the hillside track all the old dudes ride! :29:

I'm with you on that Todd! That wouldn't be me either.

Went to silverwood and lake arrowhead yesterday

Damn, I want to go, but I'm looking at those rocks and thinking my tubeless, nobbie-less tires probably wouldn't make it back.

Scott - you can definitely ride the earlier part of silverwood - it's just a gravel/fire road...the single track sections branch off, then meet back up with the main road

Sweest - since when did you have a dirtbike??? which one?? pics please!

Mud - where the F are those trails?? I can never seem to find anything good when I go there

Todd - I dunno about racing...do they have like a peewee beer league class?

The next time I go to that area, I am going to park at pinacles (Lake arrowhead) instead of silverwood. Im kinda tired of that road.
Plus I never do enough exploring around arrowhead and maybe head up to big bear if there is no ice.

those i-hooks are a bit wobbly...I'll show you Friday...worst case scenario we do what we did last time - use the truck's d-rings in the bed rails
