Dang, Natalie wanted to go to Nitro Circus! If you can return the hour meter, I have one you can have.

terrain is rocky gravel road

but your supermoto would surely be fine...

if there was a pee-wee beer league for dirt bikes, this would be it!

pretty short ride anyhow..it's only 7-8 miles...maybe 40 mins round trip on dirt + fool around time on the 2 parking-lot sized areas on the side

mounted my (hopefully) more crash-resistant tail and turn signals:

and this thing is WAY BRIGHTER than my 90's incandescent bulbs!!

wired into the high beam!

did my 8am pre-work ride for LAB2V prep

checked out a little bit of the rocky side trails

not a whole lot to explore on the sides...but kinda fun to tool around in 1st-2nd gear...if you can use your imagination, some of it can be ridden like an endurocross style section

'nother shakedown run today...

visited the husky monument out in the middle of the desert

covered ~100 miles today

bad news:
-butt gets store after 40 miles...trying to stand more
-LAB2V forecast in the 30's-40's

good news:
-most desert service/trail roads are 3rd-5th gear/off pipe = I got ~30mpg  - my desert tank should take me over 100 miles!
-everything works...hopefully it stays that way

less than a week to gooooo!!

man...it is SUCH a great feeling to bomb through those open desert roads...see a straight, pre-load and bounce the suspension on that slight rise and wheelie at 50mph :hellyeah:

BUT pacing is important...ride to have fun early in the day and you'll be tired very, very quickly. 240 miles/day!

What you guys think of DRZ400?

Looking at getting a dualie, actually, the SM version and getting some dirt tires for it. Won't be using a whole ton, but would like a plated dualie that is reliable.
