The Sand Canyon gas station on Quail Hill is pretty convenient. Direct access to the 405 or the 133 if we need to run up the 5.

8a, from the OC meet-up spot.  Start out early to avoid the riff-raff that tends to get their start later... 8)

So is there officially going to be an OC meet-up spot? Is it at IM, or off the 57??

Anyone in the Irvine/LakeForest area want to meet up around 630 to ride up there? I'm thinking I might grab breakfast at the Starbucks on Quail Hill/Sand Canyon since there's been no mention of food. Looks like it'll take about 25min to get up there from that location, so I might be at Starbucks around 6 to get some coffee

The last thing my fat ass needs first in the morning is a donut. Cafe sounds good for lunch, though. An egg sandwich and coffee will get my brain kickstarted.

Not a donut, a fruit delivery system :19:

Had a good ride today. I've been up that road before but it's been three years or more since I last hit it. Tricky corners if you don't know what to expect.

Got stuck behind some slow moving traffic and didn't want to pass in blind corners to catch up so I just vlogged my way down. Good thing I slowed because there were a few cops about halfway down pulling people over. That's exactly why I'm usually on the road by 6am and home by noon when I go solo.

One of the dudes who got pulled over by the cops looked like Viet (went to '6 states in 4 days' ride, don't know what his handle is on the forum). That looked like an unpleasant conversation.
