So I've been lurking on OCMoto for a while and never registered but saw this picture and wanted to say congrats!  Where'd you get it?

Welcome, and thanks!

I picked it up from Ducati / Triumph Newport Beach and worked with the sales manager Aaron. Nice guy, and really competitive price. Mike/Mark(?) who handled financing was also awesome.  :31:

Congratulations!  If the finance guy was bald, that's probably Mark.  Super nice guy, same as Aaron.

I had a personal hiccup with newport Ducati when I first moved here but they took care of it and have been great ever since.  Wouldn't hesitate to go there for anything.
Thumbs way up for them  :29:

 :49: :49: :49: :49: :49: :49:

I ride Palomar just about every Sunday (sometimes on a Sat). Feel free to PM me if you're available for that one weekend!

Thanks again everyone. Just did 200 miles today, with a Palomar run. I'm in love. Best bike I've ever ridden, hands down. The suspension makes it feel ridiculously planted at all times. Really confidence inspiring.

If anyone is on the fence about buying the StTriple R or the FZ-09.. hands down go Street Triple R. It's an amazingly complete package, and I couldn't imagine anyone not being happy with it.

Paid 10,950 OTD, no "additional" goodies aside from the free addons from Triumph (fly screen, belly pan, and seat cowl). The wife did get a free t-shirt if that counts.

For the price paid, I can not complain. No haggling occurred as I asked for his best effort up front, and if it wasn't good enough I'd just go elsewhere. It was more than a fair deal, so I went for it.

The 2015s come in a few months, so I can imagine that lead to a little further wiggle room. Sadly they had no demo bikes (I test rode the one I bought) so no deals on those any time soon.

thanks....that's good price...... I have heard that popularity of the fz09 and its price has been stealing the sales from triumph street triple....reason why they have been offering the free add ons...

won't be long before honda, suzuki, kawasaki start copying the fz09....who copied triumph street triple with a lower price...

Here's hoping we see some good competition all around, and maybe something better than the 09 from the other Japanese makes.

To someone making a splurge purchase w/o thought, I can see them going for the 09. If they do just basic research, they'll go the Triple R route. Maybe having some more options will be a good thing.  :29:

have you tried the fz07.....its way better then fz09... ready to go... I demo both fz07 and fz09....came out liking the fz07 way better as stock bikes.... fz07 rides like a normal bike....instead of the fz09 dirtbike feeling postion...
fz09 power was only thing better then fz07.....  yes,,, fz07 handling is amazing, way better then fz09....
and supposedly mpg is rated at 58 mpg...testers rated it at 50mpg...
magazine reviews, tester reviews have rated fz07 as a better bike then the fz09....as stock from factory...

I will say fz 09, 07 looks way better then the triumph....

I haven't test rode any triumphs yet....last time I asked at newport....guy basically said...unless you are buying it now, no test rides....

Was your post sent via Western Union? (Sorry, couldn't help myself  ;D )

Good job! That's a great looking color scheme. You won't be disappointed.
I friend of mine is trying to decide between the Street Triple R and the Tiger 800. She rode a Daytona on the track a few years ago and loved the engine. She said it's the best of both worlds (v-twin / inline four).
