What title says. Used bike, 5 weeks ago, they removed plate before I rolled out.
Week ago I've received title, registration with stickers, but no plate. Is this normal, or should I just wait longer? What if it never comes, is there a way to order new plate for free?

Thanks.

Took me like 6-7 weeks for mine I think.

Call call the dealer just to make sure they submitted everything, but seeing as you got the rest, they probably did.

This for the Busa?

Just call DMV (I know it's a real pain...long hold).  I think Thtanner is right.  It will eventually come in the mail.  Was it a CA bike or out of state?

Last purchase plate went to dealer and took them awhile to get around to sending it.

I tried, twice, spent about 20 minutes total, didn't even get to talk to representative. Frustrated, went here.
bike is registered in CA, yes

alright then, thanks, I'll give it more time.

This doesn't help you at all, but when I bought a used bike from a dealer, it kept the plate :)

I had the same issue when I bought my used bike from Long Beach BMW. I gave it a month or so, and when I didn't get a plate in the mail I called them. They had someone mail me the plate.

This has happened to me also, registration papers arrived before the plate. I would wait a few more weeks before raising alarms.

One time, while a plate number was issued, but never got made, had to go to AAA and have the bike re-registered and gave me new papers/tag/plate on the spot (after some investigation by the AAA rep). My original plate finally showed up a month later.

If you are a AAA member use them for the plate and registration. I only go t the DMV when I need my license renewed every 7 years.
