Hit-Air Vest (Air Bag)
« on: 07/22/16 08:24AM »
Hello everyone,

One of the riders at work was mentioning to me about the Hit-Air Vests (air bag for bikers) and I wanted to inquire if any has come across this or can provide any feedback? I am definitely interested in buying one as it's helpful and may definitely prevent any serious injuries, however am not sure if a lot of people in the market have been using it. Thank you in advance for your input.

I have been wearing one since 2011 every time I get on my bike. Fortunately I never had to test it :-)

Interesting. Couldn't find any real government style test results on its effectiveness. They have a couple of YouTube videos though

Revzilla sells Helite vests now. I like the idea I'm just not sure how confident I would be in it working. Too bad you can't get the D-Air street in the US.

How many times have you accidentally set it off?

I think it's a great idea! I can think of a few Moto injuries this could definitely prevent. I've known a couple of riders who ended their riding careers due to back injuries.

Never. It takes 70 lbs of force to pull it off.
