my Sidi/track boots suck for commuting and don't flow enough air.  Need a suggestion for a vented boot.  I have some "low tops" that cover ankle and a little above but I don't feel super safe wearing them.  What are you all wearing?

probably not for commuting unless you really want to, but i picked up alpinestars supertech R (VENTED) boots and they are AMAZING. switching between non-vented and vented is day and night difference. i had alpinestars smx-5 before these supertech and my feet would always get sweaty after a long warm ride and with these new supertech R boots it feels like air condition for your feet   :29:

I use the Alpinestars Roam 2 Air for warm weather duty. I only wish they were slightly more stiff, to be honest. Almost feel too comfortable?

I have the same boot as thtanner above. Wear it all day at work too. Very comfortable. And I love the thicker sole that gives me great traction and footing when stopped and/or paddling in and out of parking lots. Under $200.

I picked up the Axo Primato Evo as a track boot but they actually work really well on the street too; great air flow!  And they are actually on sale and a killer deal right now!

Axo makes a good boot. We have their more track oriented model and my only complaint is they squeak loudly. I don't think this applies to that model, has to do with the lateral support.

Actually, the anti-torsion brace on this new model squeaks loudly as well.  Their older model (Axo Primato II) didn't have the extra track goodies but also didn't make any noise :D

I have two pairs of the Evo model now since I couldn't resist such a good deal; they're not always on sale.  And I also have the KK4-R gloves and the Indy suit; love their products.

Here is my daily: RS Taichi RS0008 BOA Wrap Air boots.  I do have other shoes I change to at work so it's just mainly used for riding.  I had the RS0006 model before, but the RS0008 has better ventilation.

TCX Airtech Evo Gore-Tex boots.
TCX also has race boots with toe box vents that flow a lot of air, along with the perforated body.
I own pairs of all race, touring and waterproof.

I'm happy with my Dainese TRQ-Tour Boots.

Walmart has some flip flops for $8, breath great but say goodbye to your foot in a crash.

Went on revzilla and saw those.  Trying to keep the price under 200 and those seemed good

They're comfortable, and break in fast. I have no crash experience with them and I'd like to keep it that way. Some have commented they went down and the boots did good. They are definitely not the same caliber as a dedicated track boot, but worlds better than "moto shoe" type thing.

think I've narrowed down to the roam or ridge.  hard to tell the height of the ridge from pics tho.  Then just need to find the best price

I'd go for the Roam.

The Ridge is too short and offers little shin protection.
