Show up and Ride - Buttonwillow 11/3
« on: 10/30/17 08:53AM »

A friend of mine has a track prepped 2015 Yamaha R3 for rent this coming Friday at Buttonwillow.  $300 all-in (gas, tires, warmers, drinks, etc.).  (you do need to pay for the track fees).  Contact: emailhenryyip@gmail.com

Great guy btw!  I bought my current track bike from him; I'll be out there riding it  :42:

If I total the bike, who pays for it?

He's just doing "bro policy" for now. Break a part, pay for the part. Very reasonable guy. He can work on the bikes himself.

I think the problem is he's asking too much for a Ninja 300. For the same $300, CSS will loan you a BMW S1000RR and you're only liable for up to $2k damages.

Beginner group was still open earlier this week but sounds like that's full too. Kinda crazy on a Friday.

You can rent their bikes without doing the school?

It's a Yamaha R3 though; $2k damage pretty much means you totaled it :D

No, you have to do their school, but the cost difference between BYOB and ride their bike is $300.

Yea, but it's kind of apples and oranges. You'll be out min $675 and you're taking a class. I did it last year and their classes are great but you shouldn't treat it as a track day.

Flap up north charges $350 for their Ninja 300s.

Anyway, Buttonwillow was awesome 😁. This may just be my favorite track!
