« on: 01/16/18 01:28PM »
We are planning to ride to GMR this Sunday, January 21st.

Meeting Location:  Starbucks at the corner of Lone Hill & Route 66:  https://goo.gl/maps/EmgCdT5NeJD2
Meeting Time:  8:30 AM KSU.

I'll be there earlier than that so I can I have coffee and a breakfast sandwich.  Please feel free to show up sooner.

After we come down from Crystal Lake, we are heading to Eureka! in Claremont for an early lunch.  https://goo.gl/maps/VF6LqRWriBE2

Let's take advantage of this great weather and so far clear and clean mountain roads.

This Sunday is my "On" Sunday.  I get every other Sunday off, too bad it isn't this one.  It's getting warmer, CA warmer that is, which means I'll be making more rides.  Enjoy, post photos, and I'll see you guys on my next Sunday off.

I might be up there this Sunday, but taking a different route coming straight up 39. If you see a blue Tiger 800 with MALKEY on the pate come say hello.

Completed another great ride!  This time to Glendora Mountain Road.  The temperatures never really exceeded about 62 whether it was in the OC or up in the mountains.  Dry conditions, 99% clean too!  Lots of bicyclists though.  Not many motorcyclists.

Happy days at the fork of Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Road.

And then this.....road closed due to a fatality on our way to Crystal Lake.  Condolences to the victim of the crash.

So we turned back around the way we came and arrived at Eureka! early.  But it was worth it.  ThePretender and myself got the Jalapeno Egg Burger with Sweet Potato Fries with Honey.  Hot Damn!!!  Delicious!

Nice. Well except for the fatality part. I am at work and likely won't have days off for a while. I will be looking for a ride if they mess up and give me a day.

I got to the site of the accident about 9:30 and the rozza said it would be closed for at least another hour. Then it would be closed again later to clean everything up. I decided to take Azusa to Crystal Lake for a change since there have been several car cashes (running out of talent) on ACH over the last couple of months. That didn't work out very well for me. I ended up taking GMR to San Dimas and then home.

Glad you guys had a good ride; weather was gorgeous Sunday.  Too bad for the crash; sounds like an S2000 went off the road.  RIP.

I'm noticing a bit more car activity with groups of them driving together on these roads.  They're generally pretty good at letting us fellow enthusiasts by.
