more big bike pics on the end of page 3

Somehow those trails look less daunting in pictures than they were in real life.

Hot damn! I want to go back! Thanks for the video BD. We need to take some quality ones of you.

Those saddlebags were annoying. Sometimes they got in the way when I had  to waddle on the deep sandy sections and my legs kept hitting them. They also scratched the shit out of my side panels. Anti-Scratch surface my ass! Time for a tailbag solution.

It was great riding with you guys and seeing old friends. Breakdirt,  you are an awesome Rider coach, I already ordered the armor for my knees and hips that you recommended. I have a question about Craigslist for you guys. I haven't sold anything in awhile I posted my Yamaha for sale and I clearly indicated send me your phone number and I'll call you right back and I've received two emails with people requesting I send them an email. Scam?

Possible scam for sure. A serious buyer will at least READ your ad. Iíve sold stuff there before and have good results but not without the usual idiots too. Sold my old Buell XB12r and a bunch of motorcycle accessories. It can be frustrating as much as it is satisfying.

Yeah a lot of cool places are fenced off.  The more crowds that visit, the more they build fences.

Have you tried to google, "Tanks In The Desert"?  There is a series of You Tube videos/channel that has a group of people who find and post exact GPS locations of points of interest in the Mojave.  There was one where they found abandoned military vehicles including old tanks.  Probably should check first that it's not a live firing range!

On the way to Ransburg from Cal City, we saw what looked like a large lake.  According to Google maps it's called Koehn Lake, which is supposed to be a dry lake but had water in it from the recent rains.  There was also trails leading in and out of Ransburg, and a Texaco gas station next door at Johannesburg.  This opens up the square area  between Ransburg, Trona, and Ridgecrest for exploration on dual sports with 100 mile range.

I called the ranger station this morning and Maple Spring SHOULD be open Friday.  Who is up for an early Saturday morning ride?

Chris, I can't make it this Saturday.  That day belongs to my wife.

However, I can ride up on Sunday morning.  US Forest Service states Maple Springs will be open this weekend.  Trying to convince Breakdirt to go but he hinted he might have a couple of women that may prevent that from happening.

Let me know if you're up for Sunday morning.

Rogue-

Let me test the health of my right-hand on Saturday and I'll let you know. If I can make it, I will need to keep it safe/sane as my finger is still broken and don't have alot of grip strength.

@Chris - I am working 9-5:15ish on Saturday so an early run won't work for me...I can go 5:30 for a quick rip

I have another +1 and Rogue hoping to run Sunday...are you free then?
