Properly maintained, they'll go a long time.

It's like any older vehicle if you are able to do the maintenance work yourself and keep up with it you'll be fine, otherwise it'll start costing you.

I personally wouldn't hesitate to rock it myself :D

Buy it. That's a good deal on a low mileage truck that will last a long time.

The last one I had took me cross-country thrice without a problem and the first one I owned did it eight times.  All had more than 200k miles on them at the time.  The last did it at 296k miles on the clock.  I got two grand for it and it was an '89.

The 22r is arguably one of the best engines ever made.
