AIM Expo Las Vegas
« on: 10/12/18 09:20PM »
There's a motorcycle industry trade show in Las Vegas this weekend called AIM Expo.  It used to be in Orlando but this year it's in Vegas. It's industry people only on Thursday and Friday, and open to the public Saturday and Sunday.  Has anyone been to this before?  Are you going this weekend?
Is it worth the trip?

The AIM expo is supposed to have 500+ vendors as well as all the manufacturiers. Should make Long Beach look like a side show. Wish i could go.

I was at it last in in Ohio - it's a good show. There are swapping East/West each year from now on. Today is the last day, so I know this is late, but it is definitely a bigger show than the IMS series. Worth attending next time it comes around in 2020.

I went to the AIM Expo on Sunday.  Being both an industry show and a consumer show, I think it's a bit confusing.  There were vendors there clearly interested only in reaching dealers, and others only interested in reaching consumers, yet they all had to pay for 4 days of a show.  Sunday attendance was incredibly sad.  You could have thrown a bowling ball down any aisle and not hit anyone.  I know quite a few people who were working at booths, and every one of them was unhappy with the attendance and were doubtful they'd be back.  Yes the show was physically big, but for consumers the Long Beach IMS is a better show.

Although I spent a few minutes at the Honda area, but I did not see the 450L.
