************* Skill Levels Defined:
Noobie -You have been riding your motorcycle for at least 3 months (hopefully more) and have confidence that you can ride around streets without any issues eg. stopping at stop lights, not stalling the bike, not falling over etc, making u-turns, etc.
Intermediate - You have been riding for at least 6 months (hopefully more) and feel comfortable enough to handle twisty roads as found in local canyons. You are mature enough to understand going slow is okay and not to try and keep up with riders that are faster than you as it will result in a crash.
Expert - You have been riding for years and hopefully been riding with the members going on the ride long enough to know how they ride.

Yes, last minute schedule opening, where I was able to fit a small ride before another Saturday event.

It is a very dangerous day today. I already lost a front tooth cap this morning due to eating at a pace faster than my comfort zone. I fell victim to the group effect.

Got my repaired radar detector back last night, so I was itchiní for a ride, thus the short notice. Iím just paranoid when riding without such proper safety equipment.

I met up with Dee (http://ocmoto.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1327)-of-Orange at point A, and we decided that Ortegaís call was too strong to deviate, so we rode right to its start. The new surface between SJC and Hells Kitchen is grippy but rough on the tires (see picture). Not too much traffic made it fun.

When we stopped at Hells Kitchen (the other picture), Dee decided to take our style to the next level and pulled out his tire pressure gage, dropping the psiís to race-specs on his í08 GSX-R 1000. The ride back made Ortega seem like a short road.

Then we stuck to the rest of the plan and took Antonio Pky, Live Oak and Santiago. For some reason people wanted to race me on Antonio Pky. First, 2 girls on a yellow Gold Wing trike almost rolled over my foot at the turn of the green light, then my CBR found its powerband. Funniest, was these guys in a turbo diesel truck going full tilt with black smoke blasting out of their vertical exhaust. They caught me by surprise. Whatís up with people wanting to race me, am I begging for it?

Most importantly, letís do it again.

Well shucks!  Sorry I missed this; we actually rode Santiago Canyon today.   :4:  Wanted to see how the Hog would take it, and she did fine.  I took the turns easy: nothing scraped, and still had a high old time.

Some day I WILL participate in a Jerome ride, I swear!

it was nice riding with you jerome, the new surface on that road sucks but the low traffic made a big difference and yes those few psi that i droped on the tires made a hell alot of differece and i was able to keep up a bit on the way back. i normally don't ride them that high. and i don't know what that lady one the trike was doing she almost run over your foot, that was scary. :o
