That is both well written, and well reasoned.

Avoiding the fight is the best option.  He'll be off the road soon, anyway.  Probably with massive hospital bills (should he be that lucky).

^ That.  She still hasn't been charged that I can find.  So...  It's looking more and more like a justified shoot.

I did notice that the EMT people pronounced him dead at the scene.  That means it was a head shot.  I've seen it posted that he had a dash-cam and that the footage of the incident was recorded, so that may have played a part (along with what the witnesses said).

It sucks that it had to happen...

Short answer: For lame people like me, who like that quiet stock exhaust, not so worth it.

^  That.

^ True.  A lot isn't said in that.

Nice bike and good gear.  Wondering if she was an off-duty peace officer.

Evade, right?

Exactly.  I've dropped in between a couple of cars in an adjacent lane when I had to.  People will sometimes use their vehicle block a jerk off once they've had enough time to perceive who the aggressor is.

I've led more than one jerk to the local police station.

Everybody is rather nice to each other in traffic here, but then we have both concealed and open carry.  I've noticed a lot of Glocks being worn at the local grocery stores.  (There's apparently no such thing as a Glock-blocker in this state.)  That said, confrontation isn't going to go your way on the road.

Both VIR and Road Atlanta are on the agenda for next summer.

Sounds like a blast!

A group I was with used to do tours like that at night.  It's always fun to cross the bridges to Terminal Island in the fog.

From what I've seen Amazon has put a dent in everyone's brick and mortar business.  That might have been the final nail.

Just to sit in a car?  Hard to believe.

Perhaps its considered a shrine of sorts for environmentalists.

Dunno...

What Scot said above.  We do need to start reaching out to others.

That's an interesting read.

Digital entertainment and marketing are having their effect.  Now that most of us have given the various medias charge of our culture I guess we'll get what they think is good for them.  Us?  Not so much.

I plan to keep riding.  I'll try to lose some weight, too.

You know Eddie will be there taking selfies with all the birds (chicks).  ;)

Exactly!

Wish I could have been there...

A driver was assaulted by a group of motorcyclists who apparently followed him off the 91 Freeway into downtown Riverside on Sunday afternoon, according to a police report.

The victim, who was not identified by name, was treated for injuries at the scene of the assault on Mission Inn Avenue, which was reported about 1 p.m., Riverside police Officer Ryan Railsback said.

When you do your own maintenance, full fairings can be a pain.  Wind protection can be nice but I was overheating last summer because of it.  A naked SV-650 will probably be my next bike.

The purist in me likes the naked look because that's how bikes were when I began riding.  The racer in me loves the sleekness of the fairings.  Both looks bring back a lot of good memories.

Regardless of your tastes...
