What a shame.   I wonder if the new-ish Suzuki dealer in Brea hurt them.

Single make dealership probably.

Suzuki doesn't exactly make a lot of mainstream bikes except for the GSXR and Dual sports.  Not since the long reign of the Suzuki Hayabusa has Suzuki had a consistent hot seller.  If I remember correctly, Suzuki at one time sold around 10k Hayabusa's from 1999 - 2005 year after year.  Then their cruisers don't have the kind of following that Yamaha's Star does, nor the Honda's.

Eddie, sounds like it's a good time to stock up on NOS maintenance parts for the SV   ;)

Another victim of Amazon and the internet.  Little dealers just can't compete on parts and service, which is where most of their profit comes from.

I worked around the corner from them not too long ago, drove by that area at least a couple of times a month, and never realized they existed.  Lack of signage, advertising, other dealers offering more makes all made an impact.

What a shame.   I wonder if the new-ish Suzuki dealer in Brea hurt them.

I doubt they had as much an affect as the 1-2 punch of Del Amo in Santa Ana and Long Beach.

Suzuki doesn't seem all that popular these days.  I can't imagine having it as my only brand.

Suzuki hasn't released a halo bike since the Hayabusa and the GSXR1000.  Now the Hayabusa is no longer the king and the GSXR1000 has been de-throwned.

I do applaud Suzuki for releasing the GSX-S1000/750 and pricing them aggressively.  I like that the GSX-S1000 got some balls instead of being neutered (140 rwhp).  Compare that to Honda's CB1000R with just 115 rwhp (c'mon Honda WTF that motor was capable of 145 rwhp!).  The GSX-S750 has the same horsepower as the CB1000R!  Anyway, I think these two Suzuki's are great alternative nakeds and they look great.

I love all the speculation, some really good points, but I think someone should go down there and ask. I have only been there once for a couple dirtbikes i owned. Seemed like a cool Mom and Pops kind of store. Sorry to see them go.

It was a cool dealership.  It had a great small shop feel to it.  I imagine that online parts sales have hastened it's end.

Ride on,

J~
