I want to see other people's "ghost" in my augmented reality HUD. Like there are other player's ghosts in online racing video games. Also checkpoints to reach far in the distance. They could be set as a kind of time trials to compete against other people. Or just a collection of points of interest to visit and collect all.

Some cool new gloves coming soon... http://gizmo.do/EKXbkZC

Apparently they have a helmet design in the works too.

I would think that eventually HUD-like devices that are portable (can be easily switched between helmets) will 'win the market' over specialized helmets. And then at some point (unlikely to be any time soon I think) they'll become inexpensive enough to be included in most helmets without drastically driving the price.

This is true with any new technology. There's a device like this on Kickstarter that can mount to the bottom from of any helmet, kind of like a chatterbox, and it shoots the HUD on any shield. I agree that a system like that will win over proprietary systems like the one in this video. I just want this to hit the market already.
