Title: Headphones review - for riding
Post by: 1fastrider on 05/15/18 07:51PM
I've tried a bunch of headphones and some have been ok, some just too expensive, others just fail after too short a time.  I got these off Amazon the other day: MEE audio M6 PRO Universal-Fit Noise-Isolating Musician's In-Ear Monitors.  With the squishy foam inserts on them they fit great in the ear, sound good up to an over "fwy speeds".  highly recommended if anyone enjoys listening to music while riding.

MEE audio M6 PRO are a great deal sound is very good and not spendie at all. I prefer my Shure 215's as they sound just a small tad better have a little more weight and the cord is much nicer so they are more comfortable to me.

What do you guys like for an in ear Bluetooth set? I use a cheap $9 Bluetooth single earbud to listen to news to and from work, but a nice stereo set that is low profile enough to fit comfortably under a helmet and still sound good would be nice. Tried a few but wonder what works well.

none of the "in helmet" speakers seem to work w/ the Shoei X series helmets for me.  Too big, crowd my ears or get moved when putting helmet on/off.  For bluetooth I just got a cheap little bluetooth adapter so I can plug headphones in and it'll pair w/ my phone.  Going to 3m tap to helmet so I can reach controls ez.

On the bikes I use a Cardo Packtalk and plug the earbuds into that. While not on the bike I use a TaoTronics I'm very happy with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075F1DV91/ref=emc_b_5_i (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075F1DV91/ref=emc_b_5_i)

i use a Bluetooth communicator between helmets thats also has speakers inside the shoei helmet. Shoei and other mfgs have cut outs usually within the inside of their helmet for a speaker system.

go bluetooth and never look back.
