Sounds good Vince Id welcome some parts to practice on I have Semi gloss Matte and wrinkle black at this point if you want another color the powder runs around $25 a pound on Ebay
-
Black would be perfect. I'll check ya when it's done. Making a bracket to mount on the passenger seat on the bike.
-
How much thickness the powder coat adds to the part?
-
Not much thicker than paint but way more durable
-
Depending on the process and applicator but thickness could range from .002" and all the way up to .010" (or more). There are ISO/ASTM standards but it applies for aerospace/defense industries. If done properly, thickness should be around .002-.003 (or so) and will provide a nice durable coat for cosmetic and protection purposes.
Any threads and bearing surfaces should be taped-up prior to PC.

Some bits ready for assembly

I see you have same Harbor freight lift I have
Mine has been leaking oil ever since I got it, now I can't raise it to a second socket level, it raises just enough to fit bar in first socket
Looking at the piston I don't really see how I can refill it, any ideas?
-
I know its a pain and the tools are not always quality they have a great return program, When mine goes gonna refit it to an air lift.
-
