I have had the luxury of riding several different motorcycles and tires ranging from metzlers, Dunlop, Michelinís etc . But this is the first time I am riding them with beads in them. Whatís is your opinion on them ?  :17: so far I didnít feel any vibration and took them to 100 mph, until I ran straight up to the tail of a CHP unmarked suv  :21:

Months ago I was driving my Dodge Ram on a 12% upgrade on a street. I come to a stop and I'm on the right hand side lane. Another white car is on the left of me. As the light turned green we commenced and I noticed the car sped fast and so I let him go as I merged to the left lane. I got a red light on the following street. Mind you it was half a mile that we traveled and speed limit is 35mph. Next I notice a police officer on a motorcycle giving the signal to pull over, yes he had his light on.  :4: I was perplexed why he pulled me over since the car was faster. As he walked over to me he asked if everything was alright? I said yes officer with a  :-\ look. He then stated I was going excessive speed of 58mph. but was willing to drop it to 50+.  :o So I did not argue with the officer nor admitted of anything though there is no way I could have gone that fast upward in that incline of a short amount of distance unless I gun it! I did not do that at all! I conserve my gas milage.  :1: So here I am thinking what am I going to do? :36:
Well here is when Chad, comes to play :29: I read some hints he wrote on here to fight a ticket. So I did :13: I wrote a declaration and sent it after I sent the letter from the courts along with the amount of the ticket. I received today that I won  :31: So once again Chad, thank you so much for your input and next time lunch is on me  :29:. To everyone out there I suggest you to always fight a ticket if you know you did not do what you were accused of. Note I have received tickets and payed them because I know i was speeding. Though mind you next several hours I was driving on the same road but opposite and saw the same sheriff writing a ticket to a lady on a van.  :22:

I road today all roads and let me tell you this. It is all clear! :1: meaning minimum rocks or dirt on the road.  :7: Traffic was light but the two cagers I passed gave me ample space to pass without crossing the double yellow  :27:. I saw several motorcyclist and noticed they were having fun. As I was riding through G.R.R. I remembered a post regarding how bad, terrifying,  :13: for some people because there isn't a double line for most of that part of the canyon or it has some blind turns :34: Though in truth i find this section to be the most relaxing part of the canyon.  :2: Though truth be told I am not trying to drag my knee. Though stating this I saw this huge chevy sheriff SUV just road hogging the road going the opposite direction! :21: I mean don't these people think? :22: Ride safe people and I hope to see you all up there.  :17: Oh before I forget there will be a cycling race at GMR on 05/19/12 from 1 pm to 2:30 Pm. That being said add several hours before and after if you plan to ride that part of the road.  :44:

So today I received a AGV Rossi Sword helmet and can I say wow! Not only did I get a great deal but I was dreading it wasn't going to fit since I normally wear a Large and this one is a Medium. I have a 7 1/4 grape. So that being said I have owned a HJC which is the lowest rating in my book then the Suomy spec r1 and that was an awesome helmet, but retired it because it was signed by Neil Hodgeson. Then I picked up an Aria, and it was ok but wish I stuck with another Suomy. Though this AGV is out of this world. Love it :17:

Today I had the best experience riding my motorcycle. As so many people have read, heard, and experience, having the correct set up on your motorcycle is as night and day. Today I had Tige, at Cycle Mall do the rear suspension. Though being professional and attention to detail he noticed my front needed some work as well.  :-[ .  He did not have to do it but he did and for that I thank you. I will compensate him for sure though I am glad to have met Tige, not only because he is a superb, devoted, and devoted to his craft but because he is really a great person to know. He cares to ensure you have the best riding experience.  Thank you Tige, and for sure I will be thanking you every time I ride the canyon :17:

Off Topic / A tale of a parakeet on GMR.
« on: 09/09/11 01:32PM »
So I took a nice spirited pace through glendora mountain to the east fork and stopped at the Y :17: The road was all to my self! :44: I was in tune with the bike and decided to continue on GMR. :3: Well I would say about 100 feet into I see a small little bird with yellow, green, and blue feathers.  :8: so I continue at slow pace and go by while looking straight down onto the sleeping bird! exactly sleeping, it had its head backwards.  :13: wow my engine or muffler noise did not even budge this little guy.  So I turned back and investigated on this poor little guy. As I commenced to get near it i expected the bird to just fly but instead it just kept sleeping. Only until i grabbed it it woke up and it shortly jumped while in my hands. The poor little guy did not even have enough energy to fly.  :'( so I put it inside my tank bag and cut my trip short.  :34: Well safe to say the little one was extremely hungry and thirsty and seemed very small. I would say the bird is about a month old or two at the most. He is in good hands now and all he does is eat and sleep. Moral of the story guys is enjoy the road, bike, love ones, but don't go to fast cause other creatures may need our help from time to time.  :27:

Tales of the Road / Law enforcement at ACH
« on: 06/28/11 04:36PM »
Today was my second time since 1999 since i rode ACH. ;D Before I commenced onto the road there was a CHP cruiser coming on the opposite direction. :13: Half way into the canyon there was a CHP motorcyclist also on the opposite direction. :4: To my surprise he was on my rear end a half mile after I spotted him. :36: He followed me for about five minutes.  :35: I was curious what he would of stopped me for since my speed was 45 mph.  :17: Next I noticed he was gone.  :7: All in all not bad for ACH road. :8: I will have my article on ACH by Monday.  :3:

Hello all, I have been reading people's post regarding getting stopped by law enforcement. This type of news deter some people from riding GMR or other part of the Mountains Canyons. I rode all of San Gabriel Mountain canyons and I really do mean all! :17: and saw about 10-15 law enforcement vehicles. Some officers were on the road driving to their next spot to monitor peoples vehicles while other seemed to be a check point for insurance and registration. I was wearing a full leather suite though wasn't passing vehicles, driving reckless with excessive speed, but enjoying the ride in a moderate safe speed. How many times did I get stopped? 0 times! :7: instead I just waved to them and continued riding.  :27: My point is ride the canyons and enjoy them don't let law enforcement deter you from enjoying the twists. Though ride safely cause trust me they can see you from the high points. I have actually taken pic where they have great views of the road and all it takes is a radio call and you are stopped.  :6: Well enjoy the day my friends and keep the rubber down. :44:

:'( Last night I sold my RC51 one hell of a bike :43: I am writing to let my feelings be heard to bring closure to my experience with this powerful beautiful beast. :17: I don't know how most of you feel when selling your motorcycle but to me it felt like loosing a very dependable friend. Every time I rode the motorcycle it brought me such a beautiful peace of mind. The blue machine carved GMR so well and i still remember feeling the roar from the engine beneath me.  ;D. I worked on her for three months changing all of her fluids, lines, and parts that need fixing. I treated her right and she rewarded me while i was skidding inches away from the air between the fairings an ground. All in all I am glad she went to a family who both husband and wife ride. So bye my blue loyal friend and may you bring happiness to your next rider as you did to me. :'(

« on: 04/20/11 05:44PM »
I am selling my Pig :34: :43: due to too many vehicles.  :6: this bike is better any when i got it because it is up for the Summer. All the mods were placed in 2010 except for the speed healer and power commander. So it has new rear sets Gaulfer steel braided brakes & clutch line, all new radiator hoses can you say six! lol K&N air filter, Bt 16 tires, and Euro rear lights. FYI you will not get stopped for any type of modification because it is up to par with the legal side of the law.  A CHP was looking for something to stop me for and did not find anything  :3: The motorcycle has 10500 miles. NO LEAKES  what so ever! everything is strong. though the bike does have one screw hole crack because the previous owner over tighten it. pm me if interested. price if firm

Tales of the Road / Hotel resrvations for laguna seca
« on: 03/17/11 06:55PM »
So I looked for hotel reservations on canery row in Monteray, all stated to be sold out. Well I commenced to look further away from that site but the prices increased or decreased but only 100.00 in price but so did the reviews. I then received a pop up and it was a link to one of the two hotels in canery row. I was puzzled why it showed a open reservation for that date now. So I decided to call and sure enough the rep said they are booked for those days:-( so I decided to try n finish the online reservation. Well to my surprise it went through. So I decided to call the hotel just to confirm the reservation. Yeap it was confirmed to my surprise=-O point is keep trying there is always one way to skin a cat. :31: :43: ;D

first i would like to say thank you to space monkey, by asking me if i needed help as I was pushing my bike to auto zone. So thank you. Now here is my story.........! Last week I took out the gsxr to work but noticed it wasn't cranking over well so I charged it for a couple of hours. Ok it cranked well so I thought. Well after riding for about 15 min on the 22 heading west I exited beach blvd. Well I unfortunately stalled it and guess what? Yeap baterry done! So I then just pushed the bike to the side walk and thought what to do. I realized there is a suzuki dealer a block away! So I bought it n they were kind enough to put it in for me free of charge! Great people at south land suzuki. Now I had that bike sice 2005 so I figure every five years.  Well then I took out my other bike n guess what same thing it was slow to crank but I figured it will charge the battery since it wasn't that bad. Well I guessed wrong! I was then stuck at my bank n no where to go! I then started walking to a hardware sore to get tools just to get the battery out but once again dumb luck hit again!  There was a auto zone at the end of this huge parking lot! I had this bike for about a year though when I saw the battery it was sure old! Point is check or replace the battery when a vehicle has been purchased from a private party. Oh n yes I learned my lesson just glad I wasn't stuck at a canyon or at laguna seca.
