General Motorcycle Discussion / Re: GMR???

It was pretty clean last weekend, was up there with a couple of friends.
I was up there on the 13th and it was pretty clean.  :)

I have to work - oh well, ride bikes, eat and win stuff!   :29:
Who will the chicks take pictures with if you're not there?  ;)

I have to work too.

Two things I'd like to respond to.
One is using your high beam.  It's aggravating to be blinded by someone following you with their high beam on.  It also makes it difficult to determine their distance behind you.
Two, following too close makes you invisible behind my bike (FJR).  I check my mirrors constantly but if you follow in my blind spot your endangering both of us.  Hang back a little with your low beam on please.
Carry on.

People don't understand that some people are more sensitive to bright light than they may be. It can be dangerous to be blinded by bright lights. This is why it is against the law, not to mention rude and selfish drive with your brights on around other cars or bikes.
Please people don't do it.
I agree with this. Plus it makes it more difficult to judge your speed and distance as well as giving you a false sense of security.

Post the article up if you can.  Looks like you stopped at Newcomb's Ranch.
A mate is sending me the whole thing. Once I get it I will post it up and yeah, I was at Newcomb's Ranch.

I made the latest edition of a weekly motorcycle newspaper (MCN Motorcycle news) in Great Britain.

"UNOFFICIAL" Rides / Re: GMR Ride - Sunday, 1/21/18

I got to the site of the accident about 9:30 and the rozza said it would be closed for at least another hour. Then it would be closed again later to clean everything up. I decided to take Azusa to Crystal Lake for a change since there have been several car cashes (running out of talent) on ACH over the last couple of months. That didn't work out very well for me. I ended up taking GMR to San Dimas and then home.

I might be up there this Sunday, but taking a different route coming straight up 39. If you see a blue Tiger 800 with MALKEY on the pate come say hello.

Purchased a nice Dainese leather jacket.    :)

Since I can't make it....

I'm counting on Eddie to be there!

Ride on,

You know Eddie will be there taking selfies with all the birds (chicks).  ;)

Brilliant! Hopefully they will have some size 56 leather jackets in.   :)

I have been shopping for a new helmet by AGV. That one is well out of my price range. All of his helmets are amazingly original and creative. Have never owned an AGV lid. Is the K3 too low end for an every day rider? Is it worth stepping up to a K5 or GP Veloce?
I have a Guy Martin K3 and it is a great lid for the dosh.  :)

I'm not sure how you could be offended by that. There are a lot of light hearted jabs at European countries on American television and I bet you laugh at them. I read it as Nicky was a great representative of America.

Awesome, Privateer! I'm just getting back in the saddle again too.
See you around  :27:
You should probably stop dropping your crash helmet up at Crystal Lake cafe though.   :)

I'd definitely be interested in a custom helmet paint job. Something as close to this as you can get.  :)

I'm hoping to go there in 2017 with some mates. It is also good to have an old RAF mate that lives on the I.O.M. :)

If you think that is bad, wait until you hear of my current dealer experience (not Southern Cali Motorcycles).  I dropped my 2014 Aprilia Shiver 750 off to have a slight oil weep fixed under warranty. To date I still don't have her back and not once has the dealer returned any of my 5 phone calls. She was dropped off on 10/31/15....Yes 10/31/15.  Going on 11 weeks now.

Best part about Valencia was seeing Danny Kent win the Moto3 World Championship.
