Ride to work day - 6/19/17
« on: 06/04/17 09:05PM »

Monday, June 19th

Ride your motorcycle or scooter on this day to demonstrate:
- The number of motorcyclists to the general public and to politicians.
- That motorcyclists are from all occupations and all walks of life.
- That motorcyclists can reduce traffic and parking congestion in large cities.
- That motorcycles are for transportation as well as recreation.
- That motorcycling is a social good.

Although I was planning on taking a PTO day on that day.

Wish they would cover that in the news. Would be so cool to see a ton of bikes on the road like in Europe or Japan. I ride every weekday to work. Sometimes drive in on the weekends if i remember.

motorcycles aren't important enough to mention on the news unless they're involved in a crash/accident

I have to help a friend move so I drove today and I saw so many bikes pass me that I was like what's going on? Then I remembered it was ride to work day and now I am stuck in my stupid truck.

But when I rode over the weekend I saw a car completely stopped in the fast lane next to the carpool lane that I almost ran into and then I saw two car accidents on the way to work today with one car flipped over in the ditch so ride safe guys

Well, just got back from a two week work trip so the boss gave me the day off. Which means I have a honey-do list to cover. Since the car is still out of action we'll see how many gallons of Dunn Edwards I can fit in the Givi.
